The project Hjällbo Collaboration Small Children by Nanna Gillberg

News: Dec 13, 2016

The project Hjällbo Collaboration Small Children is a three-year collaborative project (2013-2016), in which all different parts and fields of professional competence involved in a typical assessment and intervention process, are gathered under one roof in the patients' local community. The goal has been to develop a "seamless" model near the families, in order to be able to quickly detect, examine and offer individually tailored intervention measures for children aged 0-4 with suspected autism or other developmental disorders. The project was recently followed up from an organisational perspective by GNC researcher Nanna Gillberg. The resulting report shows that there are gains – humanitarian and time-related as well as economic – on an individual, organizational and a societal level – in bringing together and coordinating healthcare intervention measures and creating cohesive healthcare chains wothout gaps.
